QA&TEST, the International Conference on Testing and Software Quality in Embedded Systems, celebrates its 18th edition on October 29th 30th and 31st in Bilbao, gathering the top international experts in the Testing field and software quality to expose and share the most current and innovative advances, techniques and methodologies of the moment.

Software testing is a constantly evolving discipline. Peter Zimmerer, from Siemens AG, will talk about “Test Architect Boot Camp” a tutorial in which he will present the new role that has been implemented in Siemens: “Test Architect”. A professional profile focused on designing a unified and customized testing system for each specific case, applying innovative software and testing technologies. Peter Zimmerer will explain in depth the responsibilities and tasks of this new professional profile. On the other hand, Federico Toledo, from Abstracta, will present “Testing in Agile Contexts” a tutorial focused on facilitating the management of Testing in agile contexts; that is, in software development projects that are constantly being updated and changing. It is a complicated challenge, since the continuous changes in a project can cause a lot of fatigue and frustration. Therefore, this tutorial will discuss about the different strategies and resources aligned with agile methodologies, mainly within the Scrum system, a structure designed to manage teamwork on complex problems efficiently and productively.
During the Conference we will also enjoy the know-how of Bob Harnisch and Hatim Chahim, from ProRail, company in charge of railway infrastructure maintenance and rail traffic control, as well as Jan Tobias Muehlberg, who will talk about “Defining Environmental Sustinability in ICT”.
