Load and performance testing are the processes of introducing workloads into a system to determine its behavior under a normal load or peak load conditions.
These tests help to identify the maximum capacity of operations of a request, to detect any bottleneck and determine what elements are causing the system´s degradation. Load and performance testing may also serve to investigate, measure, validate or to verify other quality attributes of the system such as scalability, reliability, and resource´s usage.
Since 2015, SQS has the ISO1705 accreditation for the Load and Performance TestLab (Q-Load). ISO 17025 is an international standard, accepted worldwide. This accreditation confirms that our results are comparable to the ones obtained by any other lab in the world and is a guarantee of accuracy and reliability in our methodology.
Our accredited methodology consists of four main activities:
Plan: A good planification is the one determining the technical characteristics of the system, the validation
Preparation: The objective is to design and implement the test scenarios. A test scenario includes the test scripts and load models needed to be executed to full-cover the objectives previously defined.
Execute: It implies the test scenarios execution and the collection of the results coming from those executions to use them later at the analyze phase.
Analyze: The results are collected and analyzed. If needed, some test scenarios can be re-executed.
Our Load and Performance Testing offering is worldwide, since these services are usually being offered remotely from our labs. However, in some cases, due to our customer’s security constraints, the SQS team is ready and effectively performs the services onsite, at the client’s facilities.
